Necron Scenery Coming Soon

May 4th, 2008

Hey Gang,

I managed to pick up some black foam board last night, at WalMart of all places. More than likely later this afternoon, I'll be starting on a Necron Obelisk and a few other Terrain/Building pieces (don't worry, I'll remember to take photos this time!)

The Nexcron Obelisk project was designed by GW, and can be seen here. Since it's also already pretty well documented, I won't focus on it too much.

So what you're more likely to see me provide are directions for making a Necron Pyramid (I'll be basing it off the ones seen on the Necron Vessels in BFG), and possibly some of the Necron Buildings for DoW Dark Crusade.

Coming soon!

WH40K: Paint Stripping

April 22nd, 2008

My second article is up at MiniWarGaming.com - this time about Paint Removal. I had intended to do an article about Destroyer Assembly or the basic Necron Paint Job, but I kind of got ahead of myself. The Destroyer photos were fairly blurry and wouldn't make for a good article, and I just kind of got into a flow while painting my troops, and forgot to take pictures :P

Don't worry, there will be plenty more to paint coming up. Until then, have a look at Unpainting Miniatures.

My appearance on YouTube

April 17th, 2008

MiniWarGaming.com just uploaded a Video Tour of the Welland Warhammer Club. In the video, Dave provides a great walkthrough of the club space, and talks a lot about its potential. Toward the end, he also makes his way into my office, with adjoins the Club space.

If you're so inclined, you can watch the video here. Enjoy!

Yes, there is a lightsabre on my desk. You can never be too prepared, after all.

WH40K: Necron Warrior Assembly

April 14th, 2008

My First Post at MiniWarGaming.com went live today. It's the Step-by-Step assembly of a Warhammer 40,000 Necron Warrior. My photos could have come out better, but they were kind of fully assembled before I caught that. C'est la vie, non?

Anyhow, head on over to MiniWarGaming.com and check out Necron Warrior Assembly!

I'll likely be covering Necron Destroyer Assembly, or Painting the Warriors next.
